Set up TV / Projector

Choose how to show your timer on a bigger screen. Connect the screen using a cable, or open its display link in a compatible browser.

1. Laptop + HDMI cable

Recommended for a TV, projector or speaker monitor.

  1. Connect your laptop to the screen with HDMI (or a compatible adapter). Select the matching input on the TV or projector.
  2. On Windows, press Windows + P → Extend. On Mac, choose an extended display in System Settings → Displays.
  3. Click Open selected display below. If it opens in a tab, drag that tab out into its own browser window.
  4. Move the display window onto the TV or projector screen. On Windows, press F11 in that window for fullscreen, or use the display’s fullscreen control if available.
  5. Keep the controller on your laptop. Start or pause the timer there.

2. Smart TV browser

  1. Connect your TV to the internet and open its web browser.
  2. Copy the display link below and open the complete link on the TV.
  3. Use the TV browser’s fullscreen option if supported.

TV browser support varies. If the timer does not load or update correctly, use a laptop connected with HDMI.

3. Another computer connected to the screen

  1. Connect that computer to the TV or projector.
  2. Open the copied display link in its browser and make it fullscreen.
  3. Control the same event from your main laptop. Both computers need internet access.

Selected display: Main Stage. To change it, close this guide and choose a display type in the Display tab.

Before your event: check that the countdown updates, disable screen sleep and test readability from the speaker’s position. Share this display link only with people who should see your event.
